Shipping/Receiving & Packaging Tech
Reed Art & Imaging – Lakewood, CO

We’re not looking for a robot; we’re looking for that rare individual that embodies initiative, high-energy, positivity, and an outside-the-box approach to the job. Here’s the deal: Smart, hard-working, competent people are hard to find. But we’re eternal optimists and we think they’re out there. Primarily what you’ll be doing:

  • Prep and package fine art products for shipment, including creating custom boxes
  • Respectfully handle valuable artwork and large crates
  • Schedule shipments via local courier services, USPS, FedEx, independent freight company, and others as required (including international shipments)
  • Generate bills of lading, packing lists, online forms and necessary shipping reports
  • “Take ownership” of all things shipping; in other words, investigate and implement improvement methods to maximize shipping accuracy and efficiency, and ensure a smooth-running shipping/receiving operation
  • Establish priorities and set workflow according to daily shipping deadlines
  • Generate shipping quotes for inhouse sales reps
  • Receive shipments of artwork and production materials
  • Monitor inventory and materials supply
  • Maintain a safe, organized and clean workspace
  • Assist with loading/unloading delivery trucks

The must-haves:

  • Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound!…or at least lift heavy boxes & materials (50+ lbs.) and be on your feet most of the day
  • Detail-oriented, focused, organized, and can multitask like a pro
  • Responsibly self-manage and stay on-task with limited supervision
  • Interact courteously and tactfully with managers and co-workers
  • Speak, read and write English
  • Basic math skills
  • Steady, consistent work history

Extra credit if you have:

  • Woodshop experience

Customer Service Rep

We have a fulltime opening on our customer support team for that rare person who embodies positivity and flourishes under the challenge of changing demands and priorities. We know our expectations are high, but it’s because that’s exactly who we want representing our company to our artist clients! If your adrenaline is pumping right now, that might be you.   • Serve as the “Face of Reed” and make our walk-in clients feel welcome and like they’re in good hands

  • Answer phones and satisfactorily address client questions, or transfer calls to someone who can

  • Listen to the client’s needs and lead them to the product that is the best solution

  • Prepare and input orders for production after face-to-face client meetings, phone consultations, and online order requests

  • Take payments (credit cards, cash, checks)

The must-haves:

  • Exceptional, intuitive people skills with 2+ years of sales or customer service experience
  • Experience or knowledge of fine art reproduction, photography, digital printing and/or graphic arts would be awesome, but we can talk if your unrelated experience is strong
  • Ability to clearly communicate with creative professionals, both verbally and in writing
  • Detail-oriented and focused
  • Can responsively self-manage, multi-task, and meet deadlines with limited supervision
  • Comfort with everyday usage of desktop computer and a variety of software
  • Steady, consistent work history
  • Reliable transportation
  • Can stand for extended periods of time and lift 20lbs

Mounting & Laminating Production Tech
Reed Art & Imaging – Lakewood, CO

Do you love to work with your hands and create beautiful products? Are you a creative problem solver who “thinks on their feet”? But even more importantly, do you play well with others and are driven to learn, develop and master new skills? We are looking for people who are genuinely self-motivated to produce only the finest finished pieces. Read below about our Art Print Mounting and Laminating position and let’s see if you get inspired to join our team!

Primarily what you’ll be doing:

  • Laminate and mount amazing artwork using substrates up to 5’x10’ on various laminators
  • Organize incoming work orders by date, time, service requested, etc.
  • Handle valuable artwork as large as 5’x10′ and weighing over 70 lbs.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area
  • Quality check finished pieces for dirt, defects, accuracy, etc.
  • Utilize computer software programs to track and organize workflow
  • Work closely with other production personnel, as well as account reps and clients

Essential must-haves:

  • Basic knowledge of mounting and/or laminating large format artwork or prints
  • Can lift full sheets (up to 5’x10′) of plexiglass, wood and like materials with assistance
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Proficiency at use of standard tape measure
  • Be detail/task oriented
  • Be a team player
  • Respectfully handle valuable artwork
  • Be organized, both internally and externally
  • Not afraid to ask questions!
  • Personal cleanliness and fastidiousness
  • Able to use a PC and learn various production software programs
  • Communicate considerately with co-workers (even the prickly ones…)
